The Need

One of the perennial challenges of the church of God is the fact that believers falling prey to various false teachings. Though false teachings are a significant problem of the churches of all eras and places, African churches of 21 century, in particular, are under savage attack from the false prophets and teachers - ravenous wolves in sheep's clothing. This is because the pastors and preachers lack the right ministry skills and good biblical resources in their own languages to help their flocks to be firmly rooted in the Gospel. These Pastors with little training and few resources are not only unable to protect their flocks, but also they themselves are becoming victims of the attack unwittingly. The gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord is invariably replaced by the false gospel.

The church pulpits, while being void of the gospel, have increasingly turned into an arena for the false prophets and false teachers to boastfully display their "superior spiritual powers" and "earthly riches" as a proof of God's favour on their teaching and prophetic gifts. As a result, many believers, as well as pastors and preachers, are being lured into the deception. So, to help pastors and preachers to resort to studying and preaching the word of God and, in so doing, to restore the gospel back to the pulpits, Brana Gospel Focus Ministry aims to produce good and sound resources to equip them. We have launched a Translation Project of translating the Welwyn Commentary Series (55 volumes) into Amharic. This project is estimated to take 4- 5 years to complete. Brana Gospel Focus Ministry is deeply  grateful to the Evangelical Press (EP) for the granting us permission to translate.
